32 Best High Yield Dividend Stocks

No doubt you already appreciate the popularity of income stocks during market turbulence. 

Typically their share prices are less affected as investors cling to them to keep the large dividend checks flowing. 

According to our screener, there are currently 400 stocks with a dividend yield of 5% or more. 17 of them have a yield of 20%+.

Those 20%+ yields sound super tempting until you realize that those lofty yields rarely hold up over time. Too often the high yields occur because the growth prospects for the firm are tanking which pushes down the share price temporarily elevating the yield. 

This typically leads to a great reduction in future dividends payments making it a very poor investment choice. 

Instead what you want are healthy growing companies that can support current dividend payments and likely increase them into the future. 

These same signs of quality growth are also beneficial for the elevation of the share price increasing the total ROI of your investment.
