Let’s get a little more “Risk On” with this week’s stock selection as the S&P 500 is looking more and more likely to break back above the 200 day moving average (5,755).
If that unfolds, then the ugliness of this early 2025 chapter is more likely just a healthy correction before the next bull run higher. Thus, we will want a stock that will outperform in that environment like Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL).
They are one of the largest commercial real estate companies that buys, builds, occupies, and manages property. It is their full service portfolio that has them being much more than just a real estate owner or developer. And it is the growth of those additional service revenue streams that has led an impressive turnaround in their business starting in 2024 after a string of 5 disastrous earnings misses.
Now they are riding on the crest of 5 impressive earnings beats that has future growth prospects on the rise and analysts pounding the table on the attractiveness of shares. The average target stands at $335 while the street high is $353. That is ample upside when shares are currently trading around $260.
Note that with $20 EPS a real possibility next year...and the average large cap PE over 20...then not hard to see $400+ in hand next year.
Indeed, the Zen Ratings model is also singing their praises with JLL scoring in the top 1.1% of all stocks analyzed.
There is virtually no weakness in the component ratings for JLL...but what really stands out is their scores for Value, Safety, Financials, Momentum, Growth and AI (learn more about our exclusive AI rating here).
That is a pretty stellar combination of attributes pushing me to build a position in this unique real estate company. (Also never hurts for long term bond rates to be going down which is always good for the attractiveness of real estate).
