MTX Overview

Minerals Technologies Incorporated produces various specialty mineral, mineral-based, and synthetic mineral products, and supporting systems and services. Its Specialty Minerals segment sells calcium carbonate, limestone, and talc used in the paper, building materials, paint, automotive, and pharmaceutical industries. Its Refractories segment sells products for steel furnaces. The Performance Materials segment sells bentonite used in steel alloy casting and household products including cat litter. It sells its products in the U.S. and internationally. Minerals Technologies was incorporated in 1968 and is headquartered in New York, NY.
